Crystal Palace Suffer Late Defeat
Olise's Goal Not Enough
Michael Olise made history on Saturday as he scored Crystal Palace's 600th Premier League goal, but his effort proved to be in vain as the Eagles slipped to a late 2-1 defeat away at Luton Town.
Olise, who was making his first start of the season for Patrick Vieira's side, gave Palace a dream start when he fired them into the lead after just six minutes.
The Frenchman's goal was a moment to cherish, as it saw him become the first player to score the club's 600th Premier League goal.
However, Luton showed great character to fight back and level the scores through Elijah Adebayo just before the hour mark.
And with just four minutes remaining, Harry Cornick's goal condemned Palace to their first defeat of the new campaign.
Despite the disappointment of defeat, Palace can take heart from Olise's performance. The 20-year-old was a constant threat to the Luton defense and looks set to be a key player for Vieira's side this season.
